Why must museums be interactive? |

Interactive museums are fun, fascinating and at the same time educational. With the aim of offering a unique experience, we have combined creativity, technology and design to create interactive dynamics adapted for exhibitions, museums and science centres. Until quite recently, museums and art galleries were spaces where visitors were ordered not to touch anything on display. Such a visit, with the best intentions, is limited to a didactic, traditional, one-way tour. Our experience in this field is that people want to be part of the process and that when they are offered fun and surprising ways to learn, they learn more. For this reason interactivity in cultural spaces finds itself a step ahead of other, more conventional ways of presenting culture. By offering a two-way didactic process, visitors feel more involved and receive information in a completely different manner. |

Virtual tours have become an indispensable element of museum websites. In mNACTEC's case, several multimedia companies have been commissioned on different occasions to reproduce the physical contents of the museum in digital format on their web page. In recent years the museum has offered virtual tours of: "Mira't la ràdio" (2005), "La Mentora Alsina" (2006) and "El color dels records. Càmeres fotogràfiques en el temps" (2007).
