Baking in tile kilns of les Gavarres in Sant Climent de Peralta (Forrallac). Every September since 2003 Forrallac recaptured the traditional process of baking tiles in les Gavarres, a technique that disappeared with the advent of industrial kilns. Tile-baking in les Gavarres was a very widespread activity until halfway through the last century, as substantiated by the large number of tile factories and kilns which have been preserved. The Mas Plaja kiln is one of the best preserved. It operated between 1947 and 1955 to supply tiles to the owners of the Mas Plaja during the restoration of their farmhouse.
