Exhibition A Metro Station in Igualada

The aim of the project is the transformation of the Igualada Municipal Exhibition Room and the underground passage from the bus station into a Metro station. The activity is being done by Elisabet Serra Vendrell and David Martin Díez, the winners of the Igual’ART 2009 visual arts grant.

ICOM España International Meeting: The Latest in Museography

Time for the latest ICOM España International Meeting: The Latest in Museography, which will be showing the novelties in the field at an annual event open to all professionals and anyone else who is interested.
This year the meeting will be held in Bilbao, with the sponsorship of Bizkaia Provincial Council. Moreover, the scope has been widened to include museums from other continents in order to cover the current museographic scene better with a global view of the local aspect. Their authors and managers will comment on the projects and reflect on their materialisation.

The La Bisbal Jove, Jovenívola de Sabadell, Els Montgrins and La Principal de la Bisbal cobla bands will be performing. There will be complementary activities such as improvised band competitions, performances by the students of the Conrad Saló Cobla School, a craft fair, a meeting of lace makers and the II Meeting of Collectors of Cava Crown Caps.

XIV Session for publicising the natural and cultural heritage of El Garraf

A talk for laymen on The effects of climate change on the biodiversity of El Garraf, given by the meteorologist Jordi Pons. Later, an outing to the Garraf massif, lunch and a demonstration of how climate change is affecting us all in a shorter term than was believed a few years ago.

Living Tarraco. XII International Congress of Popular Roman History

Living Tarraco is a festival whose aim is to popularise the history of the Roman period through a programme that includes over 400 free events for all the family with exhibitions, talks, historical recreations, workshops, readings of Roman literature, guided and dramatised tours, strategic games, films, fairs, itineraries, gastronomy and other activities.
